I am a PhD candidate in philosophy at the University of Calgary, and also currently a Visiting Scholar at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Philosophy.
When I’m not doing philosophy, I can be found reading novels, looking at art, taking photographs, playing the guitar, running, engrossed in politics and current events (so far as one can stand doing so these days), and hanging out in cafés; some of which alongside my brilliant and lovely fiancée. I also dabble in non-academic writing, such as creative fiction and non-fiction, and the occasional poem (they’re not very good poems, but I try anyway).
If you’d like to get in touch with me, please direct your email to bbeasley [at] ucalgary [dot] ca. I will welcome the distraction from whatever I am supposed to be working on.
Here are some other ways to find me online:
I am also a contributor to the philosophy blog A Philosopher’s Take.
